Off-road Training School
Our aim is to make sure that whatever your current level of riding is, you get your kicks learning and leave as a vastly more confident rider than when you come to us. Our trails are all wild and shaped by the forces of nature with a tiny helping hand from an excavator. We know and believe that the natural trail is a far better teacher than any artificially created obstacle course.
Our trails are constantly being shaped by nature so no matter what, there’s always something new to learn when you ride on our beautiful corner of this earth. We keep our batches small (a maximum of ten people to a batch) because that’s the only way everyone gets the attention they deserve (and paid for). We only insist that you bring an ADV or a Scrambler to learn with us because regular road bikes with their lower ground clearance will get their guts ripped out by our terrain. Oh, and if you don’t have an ADV or a Scrambler, you now have the option of renting a bike from us. Click here for details.
We also believe that all dirt and no clay is no fun and so, have created a experience around the classrooms that includes a basic survival course, camping and/or log cabin stays, campfires and barbecues.
The School is currently located in the back of beyond. It is near a colourful village called Kovilloor which is about an hour’s drive past the hill station of Munnar, Kerala. The School itself is situated at 6000 ft above mean sea level so, unlike your regular school, you don’t sweat all that much when you’re trying to pass difficult tests. The area in which the school is situated is called Vattavada on the Kerala – Tamil Nadu border.
Accommodation & food
We love the outdoors and we assume you do to. We assume you’ve made the long trek to us to partake in the quality social distancing we offer. Our accommodation offers free mountain air-conditioning, a spacious three man tent for each rider and premium sleeping bags.
If the weather is bad and/or you don’t feel like sleeping in the great outdoors, we have a dormitory that can easily accommodate everyone inside. The dormitory is also where the two properly enclosed shower/western toilets are.
The food on offer during the weekend is basic (the nearest place that’ll give you access to caviar is two hundred kilometers away) but we promise you it is healthy and nutritious and will include organically grown fruits sourced locally. The Vattavada region is known for its organic fruits and vegetables.
The Full Experience Program
April 8th, 9th & 10th, 2022
Duration: 3 Days
Vattavada, Kerala, India
This course starts with an introduction to the basics and then goes on to teach you everything we know about adventure riding. It is a three day program that, we admit, isn’t easy but, we promise you will emerge at the other end of the weekend a far more confident and proficient off-road rider than when you begin the course.
